BOOKS

Bitcoin Billionaires by Ben Mezrich

With the news of FTX imploding and the entire crypto market having as much credibility as your kid saying he didn’t sneak ice cream while holding a spoon dripping with Rocky Road (this just happened), I thought I’d revisit one of my favorite books about the birth of crypto and Bitcoin in particular…

What if I told you there is a sequel to The Social Network movie in book form that follows the supposed bad guys (the Winklevoss Twins) after the events of the film, and that within the first 40 pages, you’d realize that Mark Zuckerberg was/is the true villain of the Facebook story and did, in fact, completely rip off the twins.

If you didn’t know, the Social Network movie was actually based on Ben Mezrich’s book, The Accidental Billionaires, and then Mezrich followed that up with this kind-of sequel called Bitcoin Billionaires, which picks up where the film left off.

Billionaires follows the Winklevii (as Zuckerberg calls them) on their road to potential redemption and respect… only, their redemption and respect involve trying to corner the market on Bitcoin. It’s a fascinating read that is even more timely now. You can buy it here.

BICEPS

This is it. The ultimate timed push-pull superset. I’ve been experimenting for a while and I’m convinced that if you only have fifteen minutes to train and you want to hit your chest and back, this is a killer. All you need is an incline bench and a set of dumbbells you can press 12 times and row 12 times (the dumbbell weights for each are likely a little different)

This superset has two exercises:

Incline dumbbell press

Incline dumbbell rows

And this is how it goes:

Incline DB press 12 reps, immediately followed by…

Incline DB rows 12 reps (lean your chest on the incline bench and row the DBs back)

1 minute rest.

Repeat for 15 minutes.

You should get about 5 sets in and this is a great way to hit your chest/back without benching or any kind of straight bar rows.

Quick Flexes

MENTAL CLUTTER

Do you ever feel overwhelmed with wayyyy too much information?

Social media. E-mail. TV. Radio. Podcasts. Texts. All of it can be exhausting.

Have you ever read the famous “How to Manage Your Brain-Attic” monologue from Sherlock Holmes? I wrote a thread about it.

DOPE DAD LINES

I’m VERY proud of this:

I caught my boy playing Nintendo after bed time

So I took his console and said:

I feel bad for you son, you got 99 problems but a Switch ain't one

An apex dad line I’m confident Jay-Z would approve of…
