💪Finkel's Fast Five 147 - November 20, 2020

Welcome to Finkel's Fast Five #147. Thanks for reading and subscribing! ONE  HOOPS - The NBA has had 70 father/son duos, where both the dad and his kid played in the NBA. On Wednesday night's NBA Draft, there was the potential to add a bunch more. Maybe the most in any draft.  This short, 4-minute video by "The Undefeated" is really cool. It features the new breed of father/son duos talking about what the experience was like from both perspectives. The best part is when Kenyon Martin's kid tells him that he didn't realize K-Mart was that good until he played him in 2K. Ha. Good stuff here.

TWO

MUSIC - Busta Rhymes has a new album, Extinction Level Event II. Chris Rock is in the intro. He's got collaborations with Q-Tip, Rick Ross and my favorite record on the album, Outta My Mind, features Bel Biv Devoe.  When it comes to Busta... If you know, you know. Grab it wherever you buy your music these days. And his Instagram account has some sick videos and updates.

THREE

DOGS - The puppy we rescued in April who used to be 10-pounds of cuteness is now a 75-pound elite athlete.   My son used to be able to outrun her and now it's not even close. He didn't want to admit how much faster she is, so I took them to a football field and we held a Dog vs. Boy wide receiver tryout. This was the result. She runs an outstanding wheel route.

FOUR

VINTAGE - I love t-shirts. Especially vintage t-shirts. I wish there was a way to gather up all of our favorite t-shirts that we've lost over the years so we could wear them right now. Like a t-shirt time machine. But until the fabric flux capacitor is actually invented...  ...the next best option is 500 Level shirts. I have no affiliation at all with this company, I just love their tees. Especially their classic shirts based on the old school 'big head' designs, like this Spud Webb shirt I just bought. They're also super comfortable. Check'em out.

FIVE

A great quote about...well...having confidence and feeling indestructible:  "I could feel his muscle tissues collapse under my force. It's ludicrous these mortals even attempt to enter my realm."  - Mike Tyson

"The basketball brotherhood in Seattle is just different. There's such a deep connection with each other and their city. I really enjoyed that feeling and I was happy to be apart of it. This story of the culture of basketball in Seattle is so pure."   - Kevin Durant, 10x NBA All-Star, 2x NBA Champion   "The fans are so loyal and so dedicated in Seattle. They give you a feeling of warmth and family. So many guys made it to the NBA from the area because of that feeling of family. Hoops Heist is the story of generations of NBA guys lifting each other and their community up".  - Gary Payton, Pro Basketball Hall of Famer, NBA Champion
