🚀Hoops Heist Launch Day is Here

HOOPS HEIST IS HERE!!!

One thing about being an author is that when it comes to presenting the culmination of our work, a finished book, we don't typically get press conferences with rows of photographers and podiums and media and throngs of fans waiting outside.  We don't take the first book off the printer and roll out of the tunnel at Madison Square Garden like The Rock at WrestleMania, with 40,000 fans cheering...  Hoops Heist!! Hoops Heist!! Hoops Heist!!  We don't get to climb into the ring, leap onto the top turnbuckle in the corner and hold the book out in one hand like it's the NBA Finals Trophy and soak in the applause for having completed a literary masterpiece.  But a book launch should be like that...  So imagine, for a brief moment, that you're sitting center court at the arena of your choice... And it's a packed house (pre-February 2020) and DMX is thundering out of the speakers and the audience is in a frenzy waiting for the author to appear to show the very first copy of his book...  Then the lights dim...  ...and the audience hushes...  And then...  The Hoops Heist book cover flashes on the Jumbotron as 'Eye of the Tiger' kicks on....  Just as a spotlight shines at the tunnel and I come sprinting out holding the very first copy of Hoops Heist off of the printing press.  And the crowd goes ballistic!!!  As all of the guys who endorsed the book follow me on stage: Kevin Durant, Gary Payton, Jamal Crawford, Jason Terry...  And when we get on stage, Michael Buffer, says, "Let's get readyyyyyyyyyy.... to reeeeeeaddddd!!!!"  And everyone in the crowd buys the book...  Wasn't that awesome? Aren't you pumped to buy the book? Excellent! Let's keep that energy up and buy Hoops Heist right now.  Grabbing it on Day 1 is huge for authors because it helps our first week sales, which are extremely important.  If you aren't familiar with the book, I'll paste a summary below.... But if you're getting this, you likely are... So thank you in advance for your purchase!

BOOK SUMMARY:  This is the untold story of the city of Seattle, their beloved Sonics, and how the legacy of their stolen team created a transcendent hoops culture and a pipeline of NBA All-Stars, champions and icons with roots in the Emerald City and the Pacific Northwest.  Few cities in the history of modern sports had a visceral connection to a professional sports team like the citizens of Seattle and their Sonics. Beginning with their first season in 1967 through their last in 2008, the city’s love affair with their team and players was unlike any other. From Lenny Wilkens, Spencer Haywood, Slick Watts, “Downtown” Freddie Brown and Jack Sikma, through Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp and the electric 90s era, all the way up to Ray Allen’s run and Kevin Durant’s single season, Hoops Heist explores the incredible impact of the Sonics locally and the importance of the franchise nationally.  Featuring exhaustive research and exclusive interviews with Seattle legends, NBA Hall of Famers and the players who came of age in the Sonics’ shadow, including Isaiah Thomas, Brandon Roy, Doug Christie, Jason Terry, Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford and more, Hoops Heist captures the transcendence of the Pacific Northwest’s basketball scene and its ongoing influence in today’s NBA.
